This is why I don’t like working for people(mechanics)
Just got done with the fourth engine swap for the same person. Different cars because he doesn’t know how to maintain his own vehicles let alone swap an engine. It takes me three hours to remove an engine and put another one in. Working with him I spend more than 10 hours letting him try to help, but he moves so slow. That’s time away from my wife that does not sufficiently benefit me for the work I do for this guy.
I am being extremely generous for only charing one hundred dollars for 10 hours of labour that would have only taken me 3-5 if I had done it alone. 10 hours dealing with your frustrations of a lack in competency.
This makes me frustrated about my career choice. Its almost time to start college and my two options are either the It field or the mechanic world. If i could have it jow I wanted it I’d study It first and follow that path. Then do mechanic work on the side.
Next few posts will be the rear down of the 2.0 aba valve seal replacement and clutch replacement.

How in the world did you do that?
I need to put the new clutch in, change the valve seals out ( should get a cam and some valve springs while it’s out?). Need to order head bolts too.
